Stephen L. Thompson

Stephen L. Thompson of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away on March 16, 2026. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and many others who knew him.

Born to Daryl “Pete” Thompson and Carolyn Thompson (Bowlyou), Steve is survived by his wife, Tina Alecock; his father-in-law, Vern Alecock; his brothers, David and Daryld Thompson; his siblings, Michael Thompson (Lisa) of Oquawka, Illinois, and Kathy Ray (Mark) of Mountain Green, Utah; and his children, Jason Thompson (Jenny) of Washington, Illinois, Nicole Steeg (Trent) of Chillicothe, Illinois, and Jarod Thompson (Aimee) of Grain Valley, Missouri. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Darion Thompson, Michaela Thompson-Willett (Bryce), Ryley Thompson (Lauren), Connor Thompson, Delaney Thompson, Jacob Steeg, Kieren Thompson, and Ashlin Thompson.

Steve’s life was centered on the love he shared with his wife, children, and grandchildren, and the close bonds he maintained with his extended family. His memory will remain a source of comfort to all who held him dear.
