Stephen Francis Pavese

Stephen Francis Pavese, 76, of Lenoir, North Carolina, died of natural causes on March 12, 2026. Born in Chester, South Carolina, in 1949, he was the first of two children born to Frank Raymond Pavese and Nell Jackson. Stephen excelled in literature and music, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Presbyterian University. He began his professional life as a social worker with the Department of Social Services, where he met the love of his life, Raynett Griffin Pavese. The couple shared 41 years of marriage.

Stephen later discovered his true calling as a case worker at Chester County Hospital, where he served with dedication until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Raynett Pavese. He is survived by his sister, Susan Morris (Terry), his daughter, Jillian Horner (Rob), and his three cherished grandchildren, Savanna, Caitlin, and Sophia.
