Stephen A. Fisher

Stephen A. Fisher, 77, of Averill Park, died on March 14, 2026, at Albany Medical Center Hospital following an illness.

Born in Concord, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Thomas Fisher and Patricia Murphy. Raised in Henniker, New Hampshire, he graduated from Henniker High School. Stephen spent his career as a lifelong carpenter, taking pride in crafting custom furniture. He found deep joy in the outdoors, particularly camping, fishing, kayaking, and skiing. Though he made his home in New York’s Capital Region for many decades, New Hampshire remained a cherished part of his heart.

He is survived by his children, Jeff Fisher, Christian Parker, and Seth Fisher; his siblings, Larry Fisher, Sherri Derry, Thomas Fisher, and Kara Dow; his stepbrother, Edward Pare; and his grandchildren, Trenton, Liam, Grace, and Jack Parker, and Cameron and Brendan Fisher. He was predeceased by his siblings, Marita Hammond, Rick Fisher, and Nora Derry.
