Stella Francisca Gallegos

Stella Gallegos, 83, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was born on April 14, 1942 in El Pueblo, New Mexico and later resided in Los Lunas, NM. She built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and community.

Stella was married to Luciano Gallegos for over 65 years. Together they shared two daughters: Donna Gallegos and her husband, Anthony Gallegos; and Yolanda Garcia and her husband, Heraclio Garcia Sr.

She was a cherished grandmother to Heraclio Garcia Jr. (Barbara), Antoinette Valverde (David), Christopher Garcia (Jennifer), Anthony Gallegos, and Erica Garcia. Great grandchildren: Gabriel Valverde, Araceli Valverde, Draven Valverde, Mateo Gallegos, Brooke Baca, Vincent Baca, Alexia Fernandez, Jaxon Garcia, and Camila Rae Garcia. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she loved them each tremendously.

Stella lived a full beautiful life. She loved reading, laughing, dancing, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. Family gatherings were her happiest moments, including the beloved Vigil Family Reunions. A devoted Catholic, Stella’s faith guided her throughout her life and shaped the kindness she offered to everyone she met.

Stella retired from KGGM, now known as KRQE, where she built lasting friendships and took pride in her work. But above all, Stella will be remembered for the way she loved wholeheartedly, generously, and without hesitation. She welcomed everyone into her home and her heart, and she loved BIG. Her family takes comfort in knowing she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shine through the generations she nurtured.
