Stella Floros

Stavroula “Stella” Floros, née Marinos, age 85, of New Lenox, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Beloved daughter of the late Theofanis and Panagiota Marinos, Stella was the devoted wife of the late Athanasios “Tom” Floros. She was the loving mother of Peter (Sophia) Floros, Maria (William) Rzonca, and Patricia (John) Zafiris, and the cherished Yiayia of Francesca Floros, Michael and Zoe Rzonca, and James and Stella Zafiris.

Stella is also survived by her siblings Eleni “Helen” Elberling, George Marinos, Christos “Chris” (Dianna) Marinos, and Erini “Irene” (Raymond) Schneipp, and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Anastasios “Tom” (Madeleine) Marinos, Mary (the late Michael) Finck, Dimitra “Jenny” (George) Panagiotopoulos, Arghiro “Lori” (William) Jones, and Vasiliki “Bessie” (the late Jerry) Hudgins. A fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many, Stella will be remembered for the warmth and love she shared with her large, close-knit family.
