As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Starlet brought genuine tenderness and unwavering dedication to her work. She cared for her patients with a heartfelt devotion that went far beyond duty, becoming a true source of comfort and hope to those in her care.
Her free-spirited and radiant personality touched everyone around her. A generous, God-fearing Christian, she served joyfully as a children’s church teacher and mentor. Starlet expressed her vibrant spirit through her love of fashion, always dressing with tasteful elegance. She found deep fulfillment in the arts, particularly Black heritage and history, poetry, and music. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family.
Starlet’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandsons. She is survived by her devoted son, Jazzmen Tate, and loving daughter, Charlene Tate, as well as her adored grandsons Tyler Tate and Ashton Gentry. She is also survived by her sisters Wanda Madison and Laverne Fuller, along with many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Mary Madison, and her siblings Charles Logan, Thaddeus Dickey, and Clementine Madison.
