Stanley Moore ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Costin Funeral Chapel - Martinsville on Mar. 10, 2026.Stanley Michael "Mike" Moore, 78, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his home outside of Martinsville.He was born Friday, September 19, 1947 to the late Stanley J. and Florence Imogene (Tull) Gibson in Bloomington, Illinois.Mike served in the United States Air Force. He then went on to receive an associate's degree from Ivy Tech. He worked as a Hurco Machine Repair Technician. He loved his wife, Shirley, and enjoyed being with her and doing whatever she wanted, particularly when it involved his grandkids! He was a faithful attendee of Waverly Baptist Church and served as a Deacon there. He also helped with youth classes there. He loved his church.He is survived by his stepson, Gary W. Crawley; stepdaughters, Patricia A. "Patty" Meyer Cline, Deborah J. Johnson, Linda S. Cline, Laura L. Cantrell; 11 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.Mike is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Shirley J. (LaMar) Moore who he married June 2, 1973 and she passed away December 29, 2016. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Florence.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Waverly Baptist Church, 7225 Old State Rd 37 North, Martinsville, IN 46151 with Rev. David Ball officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.Mike will be laid to rest next to Shirley at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
