Stanley "Shag" McNabb

Stanley “Shag” McNabb, a lifelong resident of the Wilsonville area near Newport, passed away at the age of 88 on March 8, 2026, at his home. He spent many years as a dedicated employee of the City of Newport and was a passionate street rod enthusiast who belonged to the Hard Times Street Rod Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garnett McNabb and Mary Gilbert McNabb; his brothers, Connie, Ruble, Keith, George Holland (Hod), Harrison, and Everett; his sisters, Geraldine, Beulah Williams, Jenny, and Mary Jane; and his lifelong companion, Eunavee Dotson.

Shag is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him for his steady presence and love of cars and camaraderie.
