Stan was born April 22, 1934 in Lodi, CA to the late Frank Schmidt and Edna Mayer. He is survived by his son, Michael Schmidt of Ione, and step-son David (Regina) Schmidt of Jackson; He is preceded in death by his long time partner Kay Wallace and step-daughter Katherine (Joe) Dedic.Stan served both in the Air Force and the Navy. He retired from Preston School of Industry. He and Kay traveled the country in their RV, later becoming snow-birds staying winters in Yuma, AZ where they enjoyed golfing, returning to Angels Camp in the spring.
