Stanley Joseph Micka, Jr.

November 10, 1951 February 27, 2026

Wilmington, DE

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved husband, Stanley Joseph Micka, Jr, on February 27, 2026, at the age of 74 at his home in Wilmington, DE. Stan was surrounded by his close family when he passed. Stan leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his loved ones.

Stan was born in Chester, PA, to Stanley J. Micka, Sr. and Lucy Micka (nee Delgott). He was raised in Woodlyn, PA and graduated from Ridley High School, Class of 1969.

After high school, Stan worked various jobs until he gained employment with PECO. He worked in Data Processing and then became a Steamfitter/Welder in the Maintenance Division. Stan retired from PECO after 30 years of service.

His leisure activities included hunting, skiing, boating, fishing, gardening, and golfing. Stan was also an avid New England Patriots fan, along with all of the Philadelphia sports team that sometimes drove him crazy. Stan loved the Jersey shore and camping, hanging out with the Laurel Gang and the North Drive Peeps. He would regale everyone with a good story and no one will ever forget his famous one liners. He also enjoyed unwinding with a slow burning cigar and a fine bourbon watching the sunset and capping off the evening.

Stan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Paula Micka (nee West) along with his brother Ron Guerrieri, Sr. Also survived by sister-in-law Alice West, brother-in-law Richard West (Cathy), sister-in-law Patricia Steinbrecher (Hank), a niece, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew. Stan is also survived by his best buddy "Harvey". Stan is predeceased by his father and mother along with his sister-in-law Mary Lee Guerrieri and brother-in-law Robert West.
