Spencer King

Spencer King, 54, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on February 14, 1972, in the son of Robert King and Gladys (Sanders) Button, he grew up in the Watervliet area and graduated from Watervliet High School with the class of 1991.

Spencer had a lifelong love for the open road and often took long drives and road trips. He was an avid computer gamer, a passionate Star Wars fan, and a dedicated follower of Notre Dame football, with the Minnesota Vikings as his close second. A talented musician, he played bass guitar and performed for others. Those who knew him will remember his easygoing nature and the quiet joy he found in the things he loved.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys Button; his fiancé, Kimberly; his child, Arizona King; his brother, Chris King; his sisters, Sue McGuire and Debbie King; and several nieces and nephews. Spencer was preceded in death by his father, Robert King, and his brother, Jesse.
