Sophia Elaine Burdine Schwartz

Sophia Elaine Burdine Schwartz

Princeton, KY

Sophia Elaine Burdine Schwartz, 20, of Princeton, died suddenly at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Princeton, Sophie was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 2025 and was attending Mercer High School, where she formed many friendships and worked closely with dedicated teachers and aides.

Sophie possessed a wonderful sense of humor and held everyone around her to her highest standards. Always happy and smiling, she was known for her warm spirit and outgoing nature. She greeted everyone with a hug and a smile. Sophie loved being in motion—roaming the halls on a walker, bike, or in her wheelchair, playing in gym, serving as a cheerleader on the cheerleading team, splashing in the tub, pool, or shower, riding with her parents or on her bus, horseback riding, biking through the neighborhood, and laughing through roller coaster rides. She cherished sitting on the beach as the ocean splashed her legs and treasured quiet moments cuddling on the couch with her parents or brother while watching movies or Taylor Swift videos.

Granddaughter of the late Charles O. Burdine, she is survived by her loving parents, Marc F. Schwartz and Rebecca D. Burdine; her brother, Donovan J. B. Schwartz; her maternal grandmother, Judith E. Burdine; and her paternal grandparents, Dr. Donald F. and Lois B. Schwartz. She is also survived by two aunts and two uncles, Charles O. Burdine II, Karin and Jonathan Bowie, and Daria Astara, as well as several cousins whom she adored.
