Sonya L. Welsh, 60, of Jewett, OH, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026.Sonya was born July 28, 1965, in Dennison, OH, daughter of the late William M. and Evelyn E. (Manbeck) Welsh.Sonya graduated from Jewett-Scio High School in 1983 and later earned her associate degree from Jeff Tech in Steubenville, OH. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist, for over 25 years, for Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, OH.A Methodist by faith, Sonya was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and had a deep love for animals of all kinds.Sonya leaves behind her two brothers, Bill Welsh and wife Jodi of Toronto, OH, and Dan Welsh and wife Melanie of Bloomingdale, OH; one niece and three nephews.Services for Sonya are private and arrangements are in the care of the J.E.
