Sofía Guadarrama Gutiérrez

Sofía Guadarrama Gutiérrez, born in Mexico to parents Heleodoro Guadarrama and María Gutiérrez, lived a life defined by deep faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. For twenty-five years she worked in housekeeping, earning respect for her strong work ethic, humility, and the quiet care she brought to everything she did.

Her faith remained a constant source of strength. A devoted follower of the Virgin of Guadalupe, she found comfort, community, and solace in the services at Holy Angels Church. Sofía carried a calm and tender spirit. She rarely raised her voice and met life’s difficulties with patience and grace. She expressed her love through thoughtful gestures, small gifts, and the meals she prepared with such affection, earning a reputation as an excellent cook who delighted in feeding others and gathering family around the table.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending hours shopping, playing dominoes with her loved ones, tending to her plants, and especially caring for her beloved orchids. Above all, she was a loving and attentive mother and grandmother who offered the same warmth and care to each of her grandchildren. Sofía endured the loss of her husband, Félix Reyes Álvarez, and their sons Mario and Ángel, yet remained a source of comfort and gentle presence for all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Erasmo, Carmen, Araceli, Edith, and Anahí, along with her beloved grandchildren: José, Félix, Guadalupe, Mariana, Citlaly, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Jatziri, Mayte, Emmanuel, Magaly, Jennifer, Roxana, Jessica, Aaron, and Vanessa. Sofía will be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated mother, cherished grandmother, and a woman whose silent strength and generosity touched countless lives. Her warmth and legacy of care will live forever in the hearts of her family.
