She is preceded in death by her father; Guadalupe Serna Rodriguez, mother; Maria Lozano De Serna, brothers; Juan Jose Serna, and Francisco Serna. She is survived by her spouse; Fernando Zapata, daughters; Erika Palacios, and Laura Zapata. Brothers; Jose Guadalupe Serna, Jose Pilar Serna, and Ignacio Serna. Sisters; Reyes Martinez, Gloria Serna, and Moncerrat Sanchez. Grandchildren; Esmeralda Freeman, Jorge Serafin Palacios, Antonio Freeman, Marcus Anthony Palacios, Dante Sebastian Plascencia, and Damian Sergio Plascencia. Socorro and Fernando were married for over 52 years. She was a fan de las Aguilas de club America y Seleccion Mexicana.
