Socorro Molina Lopez Santana, 84, of Odessa, Texas, was born on April 18, 1941, in Fort Stockton, Texas, and passed away on March 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born to Tomas Molina and Jesusita Montes.
Socorro married Onofre Lopez Jr. on July 12, 1954, in Rankin, Texas. After his passing in 1968, she later married Phillip Santana on April 5, 1971, also in Rankin, Texas.
A devoted homemaker and loving mother, Socorro always placed her children first and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, touching many lives through her kindness and unwavering love. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, whom she treated with the same affection she gave her own children.
Socorro was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas Molina and Jesusita Molina; her son, Rudolph Lopez; her grandson, Rudolph Lopez Jr.; her brothers, Danny Molina, Delores Molina, and Carmen Montez; and her sisters, Katrina Baca, Chelo Licon, and Mary Valdez.
She is survived by her children: Viola Chavez and husband Paul Chavez of Fort Stockton, Texas; Lorrie Lopez of Odessa, Texas; Annette Ochoa and husband Oscar of Odessa, Texas; Joanna Santana of Odessa, Texas; Eddy Lopez; Jimmy Santana and wife Anna of Odessa, Texas; and Phillip Santana Jr. of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Orona of Odessa, Texas, and Yolanda Franco of Levelland, Texas, along with 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews she loved as her own. Her love, strength, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten.
