Socorro Martinez

Socorro Martinez, 84, of Pharr, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Vicente Martinez; her parents, Felipa and Antonio Garza; and her brother, Luis Antonio Garza.

Socorro is survived by her son, Vicente Martinez and his wife Sara Espinosa; her three grandchildren, Rigoberto Antonio Martinez, Rubie Elizabeth Martinez, and Jose Antonio Martinez; her great-grandchild, Damian Martinez; and her four siblings, Irene Cano, Napoleon Garza, Heriberto Garza, and Diamantina Pena.

She lived a quiet life centered on family, leaving behind loved ones who will remember her with deep affection and gratitude for the years they shared.
