Indianapolis, IN

Skylar Lorraine Reeves, aged 6, returned to the stars on March 7, 2026. Born on May 21, 2019, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she brought boundless joy to everyone around her with her infectious laughter and boundless curiosity.

She was the cherished daughter of Anna Marie Perkins Reeves. Skylar shared a deep and tender bond with her mother and was idolized by her adoring younger sister, Adalina Rayne Friend, affectionately known as “Sissy,” who mirrored her giggles and looked to her for guidance. She was the apple of her grandmother Jaime Louise Moore’s eye—known as “Gigi”—and her spouse Danny, “Pop Pop,” whose nurturing warmth anchored her young life. Additional maternal love came from Grandma Tanail Friend and her dad, Jonathan Friend. Skylar was also deeply loved by her adopted grandparents, Leyna “Mime” and Raymond “Pap Pap” Menefee and their three children. Her godmother, Skylar Rose Connor Puliatti, provided steadfast loyalty and care. She is survived by many extended family members, including cousins, aunts, uncles, and great-grandparents, all of whom will carry bright memories of her vibrant spirit.

In her six short years, Skylar embraced life with a radiant energy matched only by her bright smile. She loved all creatures, especially her pets Hunter, Midnight, and Lynx, and found wonder in every moment. Her laughter filled the hearts of those around her, and her vivid imagination created worlds she eagerly explored with family and friends. A first-grade student at Brookhaven Elementary School, she was an adventurous and friendly presence among her classmates.
