Sierra Welch

Sierra Welch

May 23, 1999 March 8, 2026

Westerville, OH

Sierra Nicole Welch, born on May 23, 1999, in Westerville, Ohio, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2026, at the age of 26 in a motorcycle accident. She lived a vibrant life marked by creativity, humor, and deep loyalty to those she loved. Her presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her absence is profoundly felt by her family, friends, and boyfriend.

Sierra was principled, funny, and artistic, with a one-of-a-kind spirit that drew people to her. She had a goofy laugh and an infectious sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest moments. She adored animals and was a devoted owner to her late ferret Gus and her cat Spider. An avid motorcyclist, she found community and joy in riding. Sierra was also a talented artist who designed many of her own tattoos, a skilled chef known for her salmon bowls, and a proud caretaker of her sourdough starter, Evelyn. She embraced life’s oddities and macabre side, enjoyed hunting for vintage treasures in antique stores, favored baby pink and vintage aesthetics, and was fiercely protective of her books. She found connection through gaming and cherished both her hobbies and her people with intense devotion.

Above all, Sierra was dedicated and loyal, the kind of person who could be called at any hour and would always show up. Her radiant personality and special soul touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Rider, Grandma and Grandpa Van Meter, Grandpa McKeegan, and Grandmother Betty Ann Walker; uncles Charlie Walker, Charlie VanMeter, and Matthew Rider; and her ferret Gus Welch.

Sierra is survived by her parents, Dawn and Chris Welch and Travis Eisenman; siblings Anthony, Travis, Taylor, Trinity, and Christopher; her grandparents; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; many loving friends; her cat Spider; and her beloved motorcycle community.
