He was born in Hyderabad, India on November 4, 1945, to Dr. Shanti Kirloskar and Sitaram Satwalekar. Shri came to the United States in 1969 to pursue a master's degree in cartography.On May 26, 1973, he married Sharon Quam and they raised two children, Jason and Jenny.Shri loved his family, friends, and most importantly his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a very active member at Henderson Hills Baptist Church. He had an extensive prayer ministry and frequently ministered to the sick with hospital and in-home visits. His love and caring spirit touched many lives. He had a genuine concern for people and kept in touch frequently with them through calls and texts. One person in particular was his brother, Ram, who he loved dearly and daily calls to him were a must.Shri enjoyed playing sports and was an avid sports fan. The Green Bay Packers being his favorite NFL team and the Oklahoma Sooners being his favorite college team. He enjoyed watching the OKC Thunder basketball games and loved watching cricket matches (especially when India won.)Shri is survived by his wife Sharon, children Jason (Amber) and Jenny (Ben), and his beloved brother, Ram (Suniti), his brothers-in-law Byron Quam and Doug Lueck (Vicky), several nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family.He was preceded in death by his dear mother and father, and two sisters Mira (Noor) Vellani, Subhadra (Purushottam) Koratkar. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters-in-law, Pat Lueck and Elsa Quam, and his mother-in-law Wilma Behr, who he loved dearly and helped take care of the last four years of her life.As Shri would end all his correspondence "Be cool."To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
