Shonta Evette Dyer

Shonta E. Dyer Cunningham was born on August 13, 1965, in New Boston, Texas, to Brenda Aimes and Lloyd Lee Dyer. When she was seven, her mother married Arthur L. Cunningham, and the family relocated to Dallas, Texas. Shonta attended primary and elementary school in New Boston and middle and high school in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack and Ruthie Aimes, her paternal grandfather Lloyd Lee Dyer Sr., and her aunts Mamie McKnight, Lacy Henderson, Delois Hobbs, Zora Aimes, and Novella Walker, along with other relatives.

Shonta will be deeply missed by her mother, Brenda J. Cunningham, and her stepfather, Arthur L. Cunningham. She is also survived by her aunts Georgia Harper of Arlington, Linda (Delphine) Germany of DeKalb, Texas, Annie S. Aimes of Grand Prairie, Texas, Zella Woodruff of Abilene, Texas, and Rose McClendon of Bedford, Texas, as well as a host of cousins, other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
