Shirley Wolford

Shirley Wolford, 84, of the Home Creek section of Grundy, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Buchanan General Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Grundy, she was the daughter of the late Janet Dotson Tester and a longtime resident of Buchanan County.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Roy Wolford; her son, Jeffery Stiltner; her step-father, Ralph Tester; and her daughter, Linda Gail Barrett.

She is survived by her sons, Shane (Bridgette) Wolford, David Tolbert, and Gary Tolbert; granddaughters Taylor Wolford, Deana Stiltner, and Dana Stiltner; grandsons Dakota Wolford, Sethery Stiltner, and Nathan Tolbert; and by Ashley Matney and family, Chasity Matney, Debra Jernigan, and Nina Mae Evans.

Those who knew her will remember the quiet strength and devotion she showed to her family throughout her life.
