Shirley Joyce Tinney, 87, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. She was married to the love of her life, Freddie Tinney Sr., on December 28, 1959, and they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.

She enjoyed crafts, sewing, painting ceramics, and crocheting. She worked for Ethicon for many years before retiring. In her later years, she was lovingly cared for by her oldest grandson, Steve Tinney.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Randy Tinney; and her great-grandson, Shayne Spencer.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Bump and husband Wesley; Karen Wright and husband James; Freddie Tinney, Jr.; Jayson Tinney and wife Norma; and Brandon Tinney.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Steve Tinney; Michael Spencer, Jr.; Matt Tinney and wife Savannah; Troy Tinney; Josh Wright; Jacob Tinney and wife Casey; Elizabeth Kyser; and Caitlyn Tinney.

Her great-grandchildren include: Jassie Spencer; Kyler Spencer; Destiny Dawson; Shawn Tinney; Matthew Tinney, Jr.; Hunter B. Tinney; Kayson Tinney; Evelyn Tinney; Hadley Kyser; Rowann Kyser; Rhea Kyser; and Eowyn Tinney.

Her great-great-grandchildren include: Byser Mogire; Ariah Spencer; Jailah Dawson; and Wyatt Spencer.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home, with Pastor Julian Falcon officiating.
