Shirley Temple "Williams" Kaus

Shirley Temple Kaus of Pine Bush, New York, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Wallkill at the age of 82.

Born on February 28, 1944, in Newburgh, New York, Shirley was the daughter of the late William Williams Sr. and Ida Pardee Williams. A longtime resident of Pine Bush for 28 years, she later moved to be with her daughter Janis in Wallkill, where she received the compassionate care of Hospice during her final days.

She is survived by her children: son John Williams of Florida, son Donald Lake and his wife Karen of Colorado, daughter Janis Green and her husband Ken of Wallkill, daughter Tammy Mann of South Carolina, and daughter Lisa Brown of Wallkill. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Hattie Lukach of Pennsylvania, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Bebe, who was with her for 14 years.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Ida, Anna, Andy, and Bill Williams—who passed just four days before her—and her grandson William Redding. Her family remains deeply grateful for the comfort and support provided by Hospice of Orange & Sullivan throughout her care.
