Shirley Burlin ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - Silsbee on Mar. 17, 2026.Shirley Mae Burlin, 90, of South Toledo Bend, previously of Silsbee, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.A gathering of Mrs. Burlin's family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Park, South Third Street, Silsbee.Shirley was born on February 16, 1936, in Port Arthur. She married the love of her life, J.W. Burlin in 1959. After working at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator, she resigned to be a homemaker and raise their three daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother and adored her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Burlin; parents, Addie Mae and B.O. Buxton; and father, Martin Fontenot; sister, Trudy Fontenot; and brother, Martin James "Jimmy" Fontenot.She is survived by her daughters, Patti Patch and Tom Danielson, Karon Jones and Jon Danielson, all of South Toledo Bend; and Rhenda Goins of Florence, Colorado; five grandchildren, Jon Patch, Brandi Dennis, Brianne Jones, James Goins, and Cody Goins; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Martinez and Tina; sisters, Jean Thompson, Barbara Gill, and Sue Roberts and Larry.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
