Russo, 85, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away on March 5, 2026.Shirley was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she faithfully helped run the parish bingo. She enjoyed playing cards, taking the occasional trip to the casino, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Shirley retired after many years of service as an Administrative Assistant with the University of Cincinnati Evening College.She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Pat) Reilly; grandchildren, Samantha Reilly, Jake Reilly, Anna Reilly, and Stephanie Edwards (née Reilly). Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Mick" Russo; her daughter, Mary Margaret Russo; her sisters, Wanda Wahl, Glena Palmer, and Phyllis Burkhart, and parents Robert and Aletha Buckhart.A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Linnemann Event Center, with Catholic prayers to follow at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
