Shirley Lane Whitley Gouge

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Lane Whitley Gouge (Stone Mountain, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Shirley's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Shirley's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may she find rest in the embrace of eternity.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Marlin Whitley Sr. of Monroe and Marguerite Sandlin Whitley of Social Circle, Georgia.; and her husband Grady Edward "Eddie" Gouge. She is survived by: her pets, Chico, Arnie, Rusty and Sasha; her brother Joseph "Joe" Marlin Whitley Jr. (Vivian Dunn Whitley); her sons, Glenn Edward Gouge (Jodie Lea Cramer Gouge) and David Preston Gouge (Kimberly Ann Martin Gouge); and her grandson Preston Taylor Gouge. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wages and Sons Funeral Home - Stone Mountain Chapel (1040 Main St, Stone Mountain, GA 30083). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
