Shirley J. Gombert

Shirley J. Gombert passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, at the remarkable age of 102. Born on December 27, 1923, to Pearl and Frederick Bahr, she lived a long and meaningful life centered around faith, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

She was the loving mother of Carol (Ron) Pietrantoni and Judy Gombert. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Bahr.

Shirley had a deep love for music and enjoyed quiet moments spent reading. Her faith was a source of comfort, and she found peace in watching Christian television. She also possessed a keen eye for numbers and took pleasure in bookkeeping. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she spent many years in retail and served as head cashier at Lord & Taylor from 1978 until her retirement in 1991. She was known for her reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic.

Shirley will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to her family, and the many years of memories she shared with those who loved her.
