Shirley Elizabeth Jones

Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Jones of Fayetteville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday. She was 59.Shirley loved her family, especially her grandchildren. A caretaker at heart, Mrs. Jones adopted several children and was also a foster parent. She loved to play golf and cards, and she enjoyed shopping online. Shirley also enjoyed Christmas time and trips to Gatlinburg. She attended Pleasant Oak Holiness Church.Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Anne Riddle; her son, Timothy Dalton; her brother, Tony Uptain; her brother-in-law, Larry McCutcheon; and her sister-in-law, Lanita Okesky.Surviving family includes her husband of 31 years, Rickey Jones; her children, Briana (Lucas), Bridget (Christian), Travis, Chris, Savannah, and Starr; her grandchildren, Cami, Sara, Emily, Kailey, Cole, Bryce, Tyler, Harper, Hadlee, Elijah, and Hope; her siblings, Mike Okesky (Reba) and Marie McCutcheon; and her nieces and nephews, Janie (Scott), Larry Jr. "LJ" (Terri), Tommy, Beth, and Michael; and her dogs Bailey and Gypsy She is also survived by many other family members and friends.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 19, at 12 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bruce Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee.Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
