Shirley Anna Holland Scott

Shirley Anna Holland Scott, age 82, of the White Oak Community in Macon County, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 2026, at Macon Community Hospital in Lafayette, Tennessee.

Born to Jessie and Anna Blanche Payne Holland, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose quiet strength and love for her family defined her life. She shared many years with her husband, George Milford Scott, and together they raised their children with care and steadfastness. Though she was preceded in death by her husband, her son Mark Scott, and her parents, Shirley’s gentle spirit and the values she instilled continue to live on through those she cherished most.

She is survived by her son, Mike Scott and wife Kim; her daughter, Louise Dallas and husband Jamie; and her daughter-in-law, Lynn Scott, all of Lafayette. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Cory Scott and wife Lezlie, Jocosa Petty and husband Kyle, Kiona Browning and husband Austin, and Kamala Brooks and husband Kyle; three step-grandchildren, Curtis Dallas, Brandon Eden and wife Kristi, and Caleb Eden; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sue Bishop of Glasgow, Wanda Kinslow, and Janet Carr and husband David; and three brothers, James Mark Holland and wife Pat, Gene Holland and wife Joan, and Roger Holland and wife Judy, all of Lafayette.

Her memory will be tenderly held by her loving family and all whose lives she touched.
