Shirley Ann Young

Shirley Ann Young of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmon “Follis” Young, Sr.; her parents, Willard Luther and Mary Luther; and her siblings, Brenda Wise, Arthur Luther, Robert Luther, Orlin Luther, Pat Roby, Linda Jones, Pam Pierce, and Jeannie Decker.

Shirley is survived by her children, Delmon Young, Jr. (Linda), Michael Young (Garnetta), Susan Fries (Daniel), Sherry Love (Gary), and Sharon Schroeder (Danny); her grandchildren, Tracey Young, Kristie Gordon, Jason Young (Melissa), Melissa Collins (Daniel), Jennifer Walden (Lewis), Theresa Fries, Rebecca May (Shawn), Angela Crow (James), Nathan Love (Liz), Alyssa Johnson, Emily Schroeder, Evan Schroeder, and Josh Schroeder; her great-grandchildren, Brandyn, Summer, Savannah, Jayde, Alex, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Paul, Abby, Olivia, Ada, Jaelyn, Will, and Joey; and her sister, Wanda Scott. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was the center of her life.
