She was predeceased by: her parents, Welburn Martin Fender and Ida Bell Browning Fender; her son Mark Powers; and her siblings, Jean Morrell, Geneva Bennett, Bobby Joe Fender and W. M Fender (Louise).

She is survived by: her children, Judy Ann Smith (Rodney) of Valdosta, GA and Billy Ray Powers (Dana) of Valdosta, GA; and her sisters, Lois Henderson of Moultrie, GA and Louise Ross of Moultrie, GA.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Music Funeral Services - Valdosta (3831 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
