Shirley A. (Morrow) Bennett

July 4, 1943 March 6, 2026

Bushkill Township, PA

Shirley A. (Morrow) Bennett, 82, of Bushkill Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus.

Born on July 4, 1943, in Easton, Pennsylvania, Shirley was the daughter of the late John and Jean (Ackerman) Morrow. A proud graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1961, she worked for many years for the Federal Government and later at Nazareth Ford Dealership. Her true calling, however, was running her home daycare, where her kindness, patience, and nurturing spirit touched countless families. She cared for the children in her community with a love that felt like her own.

Shirley enjoyed bowling, was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Washington Redskins, and took great pleasure in cooking and baking. Her homemade meals and desserts were cherished highlights of family holidays and gatherings, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and generous plates.

She is survived by her four loving sons, Jason Bennett and his wife, Regina, of Whitehall, PA; Jamie Bennett and his wife, Holly, of Summerville, GA; Jody Bennett and his wife, Bobbi, of Washington, NJ; and Jordan Bennett and his wife, Kay, of Slatington, PA; and by her loving partner of 30 years, Deb Finnochio, of Bushkill Township. Shirley will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and her husband, Alex Augustine; Taylor Bennett; Olivia Geiter; Gretchan Bennett; and Greysan Bennett; and by her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jaylani, and Wyatt. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandria Holva of Bangor, PA, and Susan Snyder of Easton, PA, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Norman.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Robert W. Bennett, and her granddaughter, Alexis Bennett. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her deep love of family, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
