She was born on April 11, 1958, in Los Angeles, California.Sheryl was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and reliability touched the lives of everyone around her. She is survived by her loving mother, Lawana Robertson; her children, Joseph Nemie and Samantha (Vincent) Pimentel, both of Manteca; and her cherished grandchildren, Taylor (Casey) Pate, Joseph Martinelli, Bethany Martinelli, and Emelia Pimentel, as well as many future grandchildren.She is also survived by her stepsiblings, Claudette Robertson and Linda Sue Norburry, her dear friend, Jerri Breakfield of 32 years, along with her best friend of over 60 years, Sharon Handel, whose lifelong friendship meant so much to her.Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Claude Robertson, and her stepbrothers, Ronnie Robertson and Michael Robertson.Sheryl dedicated 35 years to teaching. She was a preschool teacher with Head Start for many years and later taught at El Concilio before her retirement. She touched the lives of countless children and families throughout her career, and her students lovingly knew her as "Teacher Sheryl." Teaching children was truly her passion.Outside of work, Sheryl enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved playing her favorite game, Candy Crush, and had a fondness for good Mexican food-especially visiting El Jardín with her daughter Samantha. She was incredibly reliable and often described as the glue of the family, always there when someone needed support. Sheryl was also a devoted caregiver to her mother and found joy in living a simple, meaningful life surrounded by family. She was also the proud babysitter to her youngest granddaughter, Emelia.Sheryl will be remembered as a wonderful daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her gentle, non-judgmental nature, her warm heart, and the love she freely gave to others. She was truly a blessing to her family and all who knew her.Funeral services will be held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA 95337, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
