October 18, 1969 March 9, 2026

Yadkinville, NC

Sherry Thompson, 56, of Yadkinville, passed away in her home on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Sherry was a vibrant and spirited woman whose personality touched everyone she met. Her love of life shone brightly through her laughter and her unmistakable sense of style. She adored every shade of pink and purple and was rarely seen without her hair beautifully fixed and her makeup perfectly done.

From a young age, Sherry stood out for both her beauty and her brilliance. She attended acting and modeling school, competed in many pageants, and charmed those around her with her natural charisma. She also possessed a sharp and curious mind and studied at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

Sherry married young and pursued her passion for caring for others. Through determination and hard work, she completed the nursing program at Forsyth Technical Community College and became a Registered Nurse before the age of 21, all while bringing her first two children into the world. She worked in the Emergency Room at Forsyth Hospital and later became a nursing supervisor at Baptist Hospital. Her compassion and commitment to helping others were evident throughout her life.

Sherry loved her family deeply. She is survived by her children, Cody Thompson of Yadkinville, Michael Martin of Clemmons, and Natalie Noah (Travis) of Pfafftown; her grandchildren, Addison and Ryker Noah; her mother, Joyce Tuttle of Yadkinville; and her brother, Greg Tuttle (Leandra) of Yadkinville, along with their children, Leanna-Rose, Trayton, and August Tuttle. She is also survived by her uncle, Paul Tuttle (Kathy) of Shoals and their children, Chris and Paul Jr. Tuttle; her aunt, Wilma Lamberth (Tom) of Freeport, Florida, and their daughter, Kim Montgomery, whom Sherry considered a sister during her early years; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sherry’s vibrant spirit, loving heart, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
