Sherry Roberts Summerford

Sherry R. Summerford, 78, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2026.

A strong and loving mother, Sherry raised her three daughters on her own with remarkable determination, resilience, and unwavering devotion. She faced life’s challenges with courage, always placing her girls first and teaching them the values of independence, compassion, and self-reliance. Her daughters remember her not only as their mother, but as their role model, protector, and greatest supporter.

Later in life, Sherry found profound joy in her grandchildren, Kellen and Holly. Being their Nana was one of the greatest blessings of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, she made those around her feel cared for and understood.

She is survived by her daughters, Cherie Summerford and Robin Sharp, and her grandchildren, Kellen Nyikos and Holly Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Summerford, and her daughter, Gina Summerford. Sherry’s strength, love, and spirit will live on in the hearts of her family.
