Sherry Davis

Mrs. Sherry Davis, 78, of Seale, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Georgia.

Born on July 30, 1947, in Headland, Alabama, Sherry was the daughter of the late James Shelton Smith and Christine Smith Snellgrove. She worked for many years as a beautician before finding a new path in the catering industry. She had a deep love for cooking and baking cakes, yet nothing brought her greater joy than watching her grandsons compete in their sporting events. A longtime member of Christian Life Church, she lived a life centered on family and faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Thomas Smith.

Sherry is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Larry W. Davis; her son, Heath Davis and his wife Kathy Jo; her sister, Lydia Dickerson and husband Wayne; her brother, Gene Smith and wife Bernice; her grandsons, Taylor and Luke; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
