Sherry Ann McGregor

Sherry Ann McGregor, 71, of Murphy, N.C., passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born in Coahoma County, Mississippi, to the late James and Alice Province McGregor, she moved to Murphy in 1988. There she owned and operated Timberwood Mountain Realty since 1993.

Sherry had a deep love for writing poetry, reading, and singing, and she was always eager to learn something new. Devoted to her family, she cherished her children and grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for her beloved pets. A woman of strong faith, she dearly loved her Lord and was a longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star Murphy Chapter No. 10.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Earl McGregor and Johnny McNeely, and one sister, Faye Stone. She is survived by her children, Ryan (Susan) Koehn of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tana (Earl) Goossen of Rosenort, Manitoba, Alisha (Steve) Koehn of Loudon, Tennessee, and Jill Koehn of Murphy, N.C.; her ex-husband, Randy Koehn of Leland, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
