She was born from grace to Farrell Mae Evans, and Larry Bigback, Sr. Sheri was a sixth generation direct descendant of Chief Dull Knife also known as Chief Morning Star. She was also a direct descendant of Red Sleeve and Geronimo Chiricahua.Sheri received her elementary and high school education at Sr. Labre Indian School and graduated in 1995. She continued her post high school education at Fort Lewis college in Durango, Colorado, and La Rochelle France, Europe, graduating with a Bachler's Degree in Business Administration, and a minor in Medical Assistance Degree.She was employed for many years for the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, as the Director of the Northern Cheyenne Utility Program. Sheri had many hobbies and was very adventurous, she loved to hike, fish, and pick flowers. She participated in many organized walks and runs, she especially enjoyed the annual walk/run commemorating Buffalo Calf Trail Woman "The Girl Who Saved Her Brother" at the Rosebud Battlefield, organized by her auntie Sharlene. She was the official T-Shirt distributor along with her mom Farrell. She was already looking forward to this year's 150th Anniversary of the Rosebud Battle. Sheri was a brave and courageous woman, she endured and battled illnesses like a warrior. She loved her family and friends so much that she would come to their defense and always had their back during difficult times without hesitation.Sheri is survived by her husband and soul mate Jimmy Bement, Jr. and her sons Frank Bigback, Ociola Bigback, and Ceder His Many Bad Horses, and her little doggie Mavi. She is also survived by her mother Farrell Mae Evans, and Jane and Dan Dotti, grandmothers Julitha Littlebird and Bernice Mast of Nebraska; aunts: Sharlene Evans, Carla La Rose of Winnebago, NE., Mina Rose Seminole, Vicky Bearcomesout, Elrena Whitedirt, Alaina Buffalo Spirit, Cindy Bigback, Stella Killsontop, Pauline High Wolf, Mildred Eaglefeathers, Roseen Redstar, and special aunt Julie Elkshoulder. Uncles: Rudy Evans of Spokane, Wa., Ron (Cindy) Bigback, Sr., Gordon Bigback, Leslie Bigback, and Robert Bigback, Jr., Rick Wolfname, Brian Red Star, and Selmer Red Star.Sisters: Emily Evans, Miranda (Jeremy) Torres, of Hermistan, Oregon, Adria (Cisco) Parker, of Plymouth, Washington, Marty Two Moons, Billie Beth Two Moons, Lori Hill, of California, Lujuana Haugen, Sue Bigback, Ann Bigback, LaShawna Beartusk, Roseana Bement, and her special friends: Malinda Harris, Pattee Bement, Joni Jo Bement, Michelle Spotted Wolf; nieces: Kyree Bigback of Reno, Nevada, Shayla Torres, Jadia Phillips, Amara Johnson, Violet Bigback, Lara Moss, El Dinal Bigback; nephews: Michael Torres, Jerin Phillips, Collins Bigback, Jr., Nashua Bigback, Kyvon King, Christopher Brewer and Kairell, Keenan and Kaiden Beartusk.Brothers: Hadley Bigback, Kyle Bigback, Zach Stotler, Matthew Two Moons, Jr., Wayland Two Moons, Morgan Wheeler, Cody Brewer, Teague Evans, Jaydon Evans, John Truden, Byron Chapers, and Ron Bigback, Jr., Mel Lamewoman and Stanley Lamewoman, Kenny Bigback and Talon Medicine Horse.Sheri was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Gladys Bigback, and Ruth and Ernest Hisbadhorse, father, Larry Bigback, sister Lara Bigback, and Marvena Two Moons, and brother Daniel Lame Woman.Extended families include Seminole, Yellowrobe, Hisbadhorse, Eaglefeathers, Bigback, Two Moons, Walksalong, Onebear, Spang, Parker, Torres, Phillips, Wolfname, Small, and Simpson.The family would like to extent their gratitude to the medical staff of St. Vincents for their kindness and care they provided. The family also extents their gratitude to the Heritage Living Center and the staff, residents for their generosity.We apologize for any family that we did not mention, just know that we appreciate you all.
