Shelia Beck

Shelia Beck, 71, of Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on September 28, 1954, in Lawton to the late Arnold and Bess Ann (Parker) Bridwell, she grew up in her hometown and graduated from Lawton High School in 1972. Soon afterward she married her husband Tom and began raising her family. She later attended Cameron University and in 1982 started her career as a receptionist. Over the years she worked in insurance, mental health, photography, beauty schools, cemeteries, and accounting, always showing a natural talent for office work.

Shelia cherished her family above all, especially the time she spent with her granddaughter. She found joy in music, particularly playing the piano, reading, taking trips with her girlfriends, and caring for her cats. Her warm presence and steady spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald (Tom) Beck; her son, Tommy Beck, and his wife Autumn Sommers Beck; her brother, Doug Bridwell; her sister, Martha and her husband Gary Rees; two sisters-in-law, Ingemae Glass and Virginia Beck; her granddaughter, Phoenix Beck; special friends Kathy Hines, Toni Wilson, Kathy Mormino, and Martha Rees; a special granddaughter, Laura Rees; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Bridwell.
