Sheldon Reynolds

Sheldon Reynolds of Poughkeepsie passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Theron and Ruth Reynolds.

He is survived by his brother Robert, daughters Marci Cobb and her husband Timothy, and Lori Hamilton and her husband Rich, as well as his grandchildren Sarah and Clarence Devens, Brittany and Adam Stiles, Jason and Stephanie Cobb, Shannon and Mark Silano, and Kaci and Kevin Tatunczak. He also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren and his niece and nephew, Robert and Patti Hauver. Sheldon was predeceased by his wife, Bernice.

A U.S. Army veteran who served at Pearl Harbor, Sheldon remained active well into his later years, enjoying weekly rounds of golf at Vassar College even as he approached 90. Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father, and genuine friend whose warmth and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
