Sheila Foster

Sheila Gibson Foster was born on December 3, 1947, in Pleasantville, New York. She attended Washington Elementary School, ICCAC Young Junior High School in New Rochelle, and graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1963. In 1964, she married Franklin Lynwood Foster of Mathews County, Virginia. The couple made their home at Armstrong Court in Greenwich, Connecticut, for many years, where Sheila worked at Greenwich Adult Day Care for twenty-five years before retiring in 2010. She later moved to Bridgeport, where she lived until her passing. She was the daughter of the late Carrie Gibson.

Sheila is survived by her sons, Alphanzo G. Gibson (Cristie), Vashon R. Foster (Alana), and Franklin P. Foster; her grandchildren, Jarrel Gibson, Shane Gibson, Ciara Gibson, and Alonte Auger-Gibson; and her great-grandchildren, Elle Gibson, Journei Gibson, Denim Gibson, Chy’lo Gibson, and Liahona Gibson. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Bunch, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She leaves behind a family that will always cherish the years they shared with her.
