Sheila Ann (Scott) Maluski, 81, of Stanley, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026. Born on August 8, 1944, Sheila was raised in Underwood, where she developed a lifelong love for her community and family. She grew up working alongside her father at the Underwood newspaper and later built a career in journalism there. After moving to Stanley, she served as business manager for Stanley Public School, earning respect for her dedication, organization, and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Maluski; her parents, Arthur and Josephine Scott; her son, Steve; and her sister, Mary.

Sheila is survived by her children, Stephanie (Joe) Frausto of Bellevue, Washington; Stacy Repnow Marrujo of Granville, North Dakota; and Kimberly (Pierre) Sarte of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Nick, Drew, Josh, Brianna, Dane, Hannah, Thomas, Noah, and Jay, who brought her endless joy. She leaves behind her siblings, Pat (Steph) Scott, Tim (Cindy) Scott, and Jim (Mary) Scott, all of Bismarck, North Dakota, and her brother-in-law, Ron Landenberger of Mandan, North Dakota.

Sheila treasured time with friends, especially evenings spent playing cards and sharing laughter. She loved being a mother, yet being a grandmother was the highlight of her life. She delighted in planning special activities for her grandchildren, including baking, arts and crafts, park outings followed by Whirla-Whip treats, camping trips, and memorable train rides. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Richard, particularly their visits to Texas. A gifted knitter and seamstress, she often shared her handmade creations with those she loved. Sheila will be remembered for her warm heart, creativity, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to her family.
