Sheila Ann Grace-Carter, born on September 30, 1955, in Timpson, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She lived a life defined by courage, devotion, and an unyielding spirit. Known for her fiery yet tender-hearted nature, Sheila was bold, outspoken, and generous, with a deep faith that guided her through life’s challenges. A steadfast believer who practiced tithing faithfully, she balanced strength and quiet reserve with unwavering loyalty to those she loved.
Above all, Sheila cherished her roles as wife and mother. She was immensely proud of the family she built and found her greatest joy in nurturing those close to her. She is survived by her loving husband, Lee P. Carter, Jr., and their sons, Joshua Grace and Jeremiah Grace. Her warmth extended to her beloved grandchildren—Leiza, Landon, LaMarcus, Joshua Jr., Jalen, Justice, Journee, and Logan—and her great-grandchild, Alyiah Grace. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Angela Rentie (Dennis) and Rhonda Grace, along with other relatives and friends who will carry forward memories of her fierce loyalty and generous heart.
Sheila mourned the earlier loss of her mother, Connie Irving, and her daughter, Bianca Grace, whose memories remained deeply etched in her heart. In quieter moments, she found simple pleasure in watching movies and crime shows, often tuning into Lifetime.
Sheila Ann Grace-Carter will be remembered for her passionate love, unshakable faith, and the indelible imprint she left on everyone whose life she touched.
