Sheala Lavern Thomas

Sheala Lavern Thomas, a compassionate and kind soul whose warmth and nurturing spirit touched everyone she met, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Born on July 28, 1955, in Augusta, she cultivated a life rich with love, laughter, and an unwavering belief in living life to the fullest.

Known for her vivacious personality, Sheala brought fun and joy wherever she went. Her laughter could light up a room, often bringing smiles to those who needed it most. Through her thoughtful and generous nature, she forged deep connections and possessed an innate ability to make each person feel special. Her compassion knew no bounds, making her a cherished friend to many.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Charles (Gloria) Patterson, Raymond (Lucy) Patterson, Gloria Thomas Jones, Kenneth Thomas, and Larry Thomas, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will deeply miss her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought into their lives. She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
