With a generous spirit and a joyful heart, Shawn lived a life deeply connected to family and friends. He attended Ponchatoula High School, where he grew into a young man known for his big heart and his infectious love of life. Later, he worked as a finisher in concrete construction, bringing diligence and craftsmanship to his work while building trust and lasting relationships with those around him.

Shawn had a lively spirit and a genuine desire to share good times with the people he loved. Whether in quiet moments or festive gatherings, he filled rooms with warmth and laughter, making everyone around him feel special and valued.

He is lovingly remembered by his father and stepmother, Shawn and Sheila Schech; his mother, Kim Hauck Willis; and his brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Jessica Schech. His nieces, Carolyn and Rosalee Schech, and nephew, Mathias Schech, will forever carry fond memories of their beloved uncle. He was also deeply loved by his grandfather and step-grandmother, Paul and JoAnn Hauck, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents Charlie and Mattie Schech, and Linda and Rodney White; his great-grandmother Esther Whittekind; his godfather Hank Tyson; his uncle Patrick Hauck; and his great-uncle Woodrow (Butch) Scovil.
