Ross of Newmarket died Friday March 13th at Exeter Hospital following a brief illness.Born as Neila Irma Ross on May 21,1940 in Yonkers, NY to Helen (Magnusson) and George Ross.She attended Yonkers High school, graduating in 1958. She then went on to receive a certificate from Concordia Collegiate Institute in Bronxville, NY in 1960. She worked for many years at Leake & Watts Orphan House in Yonkers, NY. In 1987 she relocated to the seacoast area of NH with her family. She worked at Taylor Hall at UNH until her retirement in 2003.Prior to an accident in 2003 that left her disabled; she enjoyed daily walks through downtown Newmarket especially with her canine companion Bear. She was an avid baseball fan and loved the Red Sox. She spent a lot of time reading, her preferred genre was murder mystery. She enjoyed researching family genealogy alongside her sister. In recent years she looked forward to weekly game nights with her neighbors.Sharon is survived by her son Robert Perkins and wife Ginny of Huntingtown, MD, son Jeffrey Perkins and wife Halli of Nottingham, NH. Her sister Helen Kraft of Hatboro, PA. Her grandchildren Bobby, Melanie, Tyler, Jenna and husband Bryan, and Morgan. Her great grandchildren Avery, Caden, Natalie and Ava as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and by an infant son, Gary in 1967.Private family services will be held at a later time.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
