Sharon Marie Ficken

Sharon M. Ficken, 82, Mosinee, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center, Weston.

She was born on March 18, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Laszewski) Kraklow. After graduating high school, she married William “Bill” Ficken November 16th 1962.Together they had three children. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband William, her brothers James, Charles and Karl. Her sisters Kathleen and Jacqueline and her precious granddaughters Samantha Hartley and Mindy Ficken.

Sharon spent most of her adult life working outside of the home doing such jobs as a nursing assistant, nursing home aid and auto detailer. She also was the Manager at Dolly Madison and finished her career at North Central Health Care.

Sharon enjoyed her flower beds and gardens, fresh cut flowers filled the house all summer long. Knitting, crocheting and needle point gave her many hours of pleasure. She gave most of her yarn projects away to friends and family as gifts. She was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewers fan and rarely missed their games. Reading and classic movies also filled her time.

Sharon is survived by her children; Catherine (Andrew) Connolly, Raymond (Sandra) Ficken, and Christine (Patrick) Hartley. Grandchildren; Nick (Megan) Ficken, Travis Connolly, Michael (Kristen) Ficken, Brandon Connolly, Elizabeth Hartley and Marc (Jess) Hartley; 4 great-grandchildren, Jase, Madeline, Hunter and Connor.

Per Sharon’s wishes, no formal services will take place. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
