Sharon L. "Maxwell" Thompson

Sharon L. Thompson, née Maxwell, of North Ridgeville, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 5, 1944, in Newcomerstown, Ohio, she had called North Ridgeville home since 1966. Sharon was known for her devotion to quilting and her lifelong commitment to caring for others.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick Thompson (Era) and Glendon Thompson (Cindy); five grandchildren, Christine Norman (Ben), Nicholas Thompson, Katherine Kiminski (Trevor), Scott Thompson, and Matthew Thompson; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Watkins and Cindy Dalton; three brothers, Michael (Barbara), John (Donna), and Steve Maxwell; and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon Thompson Sr.; her son, Richard Thompson; her parents, Arthur and Betty (née Mardis) Maxwell; two sisters, Susan Sawyer and Barbara Cahill; and a brother, James Maxwell.
