Sharon McElroy ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Kepner Funeral Home - Elm Grove on Mar. 16, 2026.McElroy, Sharon L., 73, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Continuous Care Center.She was born on December 22, 1952 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late George and Violet McCutcheon.She was a retired cook at Convenient Food Mart and Elks of Martins Ferry, and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wheeling.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel McElroy, Sr., son, Matthew McElroy, great-grandson, Donald Longwell, IV, and sister, Arlene Hupp.She is survived by children, Wendy Longwell of Bellaire, Kim (Randy) Baker of Colerain, and Joel (Carrie) McElroy, Jr. of Wheeling; grandchildren, Donnie and Alana Longwell, Corey and Codey Morrison, Ashley Conway, Logan Baker, Rylee, Deanna, and Colton McElroy, great-grandson, Landyn Baker, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Misty.A memorial service will be held at the convenience of her family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
